After leaving my umpteenth message for the lady at the hotel who hasn't called me back all week, I decided to speak to someone at the front desk about it. He told me that "she's been a little sick lately ... actually she's in the hospital." So now I feel pretty bad about getting angry with her for not returning my calls. Well, I feel 80% bad, but 20% not bad because one of the times I called, I got her assistant or somebody in her department. This new lady only told me that she was out of the office for the day. If she's been in the hospital for the entire week, maybe you should tell that to the person who's been leaving messages every single day. You don't have to tell me what she's in the hospital for - the fact that she's there means that she will be unavailable for an indeterminate amount of time, and then I'll stop yelling at her in my messages. As a customer, I will understand. Or you could just tell me she's not there right now can you leave a message and I'll continue my quest as the person who never got a phone call returned.
All in all, I hope she gets better, because nobody likes being in the hospital.
