Long Weekend.

Immediately after posting that last entry, I learned just how bad the food poisoning was for H. He was feverish, dehydrated, had stomach cramps that made it impossible for him to sit up, and the fact that he kept saying, "I have never felt this bad in my life" made me think we might need to go to the emergency room. We ended up not going, but only because H. figured the only thing they could do for him was hydrate him and sit him in a comfy chair. I screamed over to Walmart to pick up Gatorade that H. had asked for, and in a moment of wisdom also bought some Tylenol PM. I flew back to the apartment, gave H. the hydration and pills that he needed, then nervously waited to see if the sleep agent would kick in. When it finally did, I felt both relieved and extremely tired. We hadn't had dinner that night, but I was too tired to care. It was midnight and I needed sleep.

The next day H. took medicine regularly, and I ran out to Walmart again to grab some Sprite to settle his stomach (wish I had thought of that the night before). It's a good thing the Rangers were playing, that was a nice distraction. We also watched Sparticus, the three-hour movie that was actually pretty good (I usually don't like older movies). H. wasn't too jazzed about eating dinner, so I offered to pick up Panda to make him eat a decent meal. I'm glad he's slowly recovering his appetite. I wouldn't want him flying if he wasn't feeling well (although he would probably still do it). He looks a lot better today than yesterday, so I feel he'll be back to normal tomorrow.

I suggested to H. that we sue the gelato place, because that is literally the only thing different that we ate. He wasn't enthused about the idea when I suggested it, but maybe that's because it was six in the morning and he wanted to go back to sleep.

So guess what? I'm flying in TWO DAYS! Super duper excited! I'm trying to make a list of everything that I need to pack, and hopefully I remember to bring everything. The intertubes says that the weather is going to be in the upper 80's for most of my stay, which is pretty much like around here. It also says that it will rain while we're gone, which I kind of want to experience since it'll mean cooler temperatures. But I suppose given the choice of seeing everyone I love versus cooler temperatures, the people win out.

H. and I know what we want for Christmas: one of those Texas Rangers rings with all the diamonds. They look so cool! They're giving out replicas to the fans of today's game, and I wish wish wish we could go.

Well, I'm avoiding the very daunting task of cleaning the apartment before we leave. It got kind of messy when H. got sick (that "drop everything and take care of someone" mentality really sets in), and I know it'll drive him crazy once he's all better if things aren't a little tidy around here.

Before I go, I wanted to mention this post on one of the wedding websites. The pictures from this wedding make me want to use yellow for everything, now. Maybe I'll just incorporate it into the flowers.
