Lengthy List.

Last night, I kept having a dream in which the caterer thought the wedding was on Sunday instead of Saturday, and I couldn't get a hold of her to tell her otherwise. Very frustrating, but it prompted me to think of all the things I still need to do. This is more for me than for you guys, but you can look over the list and let me know how busy you think I'll be by the time the wedding rolls around.

Wedding To-Do List:
-    Figure out centerpieces (hotel is providing mirrors, hurricane vases, and extra votives if needed)
-    Designate MC
-    Buy & fill frames with photos of H. and I growing up, because slideshows are hella expensive Brittany and Bill have graciously offered to make us a slideshow and provide a projection system to show it on!
-    Figure out how we’re decorating the first and second alcoves in the McKinney room
-    Figure out what exactly goes in the first and second alcoves in the room First alcove will be the caterer's beverages and our guest book thing, second alcove will have our desserts. Although maybe we should put the desserts in the caterer's room ... ?
-    Buy / make a sign book that is also a guest book (see Mom’s brain)
-    Decide what to put the desserts on (plastic trays, disposable trays) Brittany has supplied me with a great idea for the trays to put the desserts on. :D
-    Decide where desserts should go (originally, on the cake table, but cake table is too small and we have two alcoves, so why not put some there? Probably because the dance floor is in the way)
-    Decide if we want to put anything up behind the cake table (fabric pom-pom lanterns)
-    Do we want mini lights in the ceiling? (I’m totally stealing this from you, Brittany)
-    Not doing a seating chart, but where should our families sit in the room?
-    Song list for the ceremony
-    Song list for the reception
-    I need to buy a garter. I have no idea where to do this. Brittany let me in on the Hobby Lobby secret.
-    Make fluffy wedding shoes (time permitting)
-    What is the bridal party’s day-of transportation?
-    Pay the photographer
-    Make ceremony programs
-    Contact everyone for the rehearsal dinner
-    Figure out what the wedding day schedule will look like (before the ceremony)
-    Decide on what jewelry to wear with the dress
-    Decide what jewelry the bridesmaids should wear, depending on what we/they have.
-    Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.
-    Give H. a haircut so he looks snazzy.
-    Figure out who’s giving toasts at the reception (MOH, BM, parents of B + G)
-    Designate someone to check in to the hotel for H. and I
-    Consider getting mani / pedi for such a fab occasion
-    Pay ceremony site staff, musicians, priest, etc.
-    Figure out when we can start using the church’s rooms

I think that's it. Besides everyone picking up their tuxes and making sure they fit. Please let them fit. And let them look good. Please please please.

Now I should probably go make a list of things to bring with me. I will not forget to bring my hairdryer this time.

  1. Bridal party day of ceremony transportation is a limo. Dad will arrange it.
